Glasgow Zine Festival and Ramsgate Affordable Print Fair

I'll be at opposite ends of the country this weekend, with zines available at the Highland Zine Bothy stand at Glasgow Zine Fest, and at Harry Pye's affordable print fair in Ramsgate.

Zine Launch and Artist's Talk
Forres Coffee Houses, Forres

We’re officially launching my Watchdog Fanzine 'I’m Not Buying It' with an Artists Talk @forrescoffeehouse - there will be a chance to find out all about the zine and my art and film-making practice. You don’t need to be into art to attend this- anyone who has watched TV, read a magazine, listened to music or gone shopping should get something out of it. Under The Leaves Books will be asking the questions and refreshments will be available on a pay-what-you-want basis with proceeds going to Outfit Moray. You’ll also be able to pick up a zine, but there’s no purchase necessary- the event is FREE.

Supported by ENGAGE Scotland.

"Join us to meet artist Jared Schiller and an introduction to his zine-making practice.

He will read from and discuss his zines, how he got started, and why it’s something anybody can try.

Jared’s four titles are ‘A to Z of Exhibition for Chickens’, ‘How I learned to hate James Dyson’, ‘Nicholas Serota’s Tie’ and ‘The House Keisha Drew’, covering topics as diverse as contemporary art for poultry, fashion, industrial design and pop music. He’s a filmmaker and curator based here in Forres."
